I've been a farmer/ rancher in southern Alberta for the first 50 years of my life. First in the wrentham area and then moved to Cardston.

My wife Avril and I have a blended family of nine children and at this point we have sixteen grandkids.

Callings: Ward and stake YM's, Elders quorum President and 1st & 2nd counsellor bishopric, high councillor, Stake president.

Enjoy stake president the most. Holding Priesthood keys have been an amazing experience as well as all the members in the Victoria stake!

My testimony of the gospel and Jesus Christ was definitely solidified when my brother died when I was 17. I had a profound spiritual experience after he passed that changed my life for ever!

I've seen many miracles happen as I've had several health issues growing up and know that the Lord saved my life for a purpose.

Having lived through these trials, I have tried to serve the best I can in all my callings. I testify that as we serve it brings us closer to Christ.

I love the House of the lord. I have had answers to my most difficult questions answered there. I know God is real as he has blessed me in ways that can't be just by chance! Hi plan for us is perfect. I love my Savior Jesus Christ for his amazing love and direction in my life. I love the gift of the Holy Ghost as it has given me direction in my life. I love the Scriptures and have found peace and answers in my life. I love the blessings of priesthood power and have seen many miracles and blessings from it.

I sustain our prophet and apostles and we are so blessed to have them in our lives. I'm so humbled to have the lords gospel all of my life.

We came to the island in 2010

I joined the church in Scotland in May 1989 in the Montrose branch, Dundee stake.

I had been pondering for some time if there was more to life. When I agreed to take the discussions with the missionaries, I didn’t want to convert to the church but then spirit testified of the truth of the Book of Mormon to me. I had a powerful spiritual witness that it was true and I made the decision to join amongst a lot of opposition from family and friends but I could not deny what I felt. Joining the church has changed my life for good. Trying to follow Jesus Christ has brought me much joy and happiness. Jesus Christ has strengthened me many times  to overcome my trials challenges of life.
